Anzhi are chasing Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic. The Daily Star Sunday says Russian sources have revealed that Anzhi are prepared to pay £250,000-a-week AFTER tax.
But that wouldn't make the central defender the highest-paid player at the Dagestan club.
They are already shelling out a mind-boggling £325,000-a-week, again after tax, to former Barcelona and Inter Milan striker Samuel Eto'o - a world-record wage.
Anzhi are eyeing Serbian Vidic as a target for next year.
Juventus were also linked with Vidic but the Italian club have distanced themselves from any move.
But it is understood that there is a lot more substance to the interest from Russia.
