Anzhi open talks with Arsenal’s Arshavin

Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala have reportedly opened discussions with Arsenal for Andrey Arshavin.

The Russian international has been heavily linked with an Emirates Stadium departure with Anzhi making a late move for his services.

Arshavin has fallen out of favour with Gunners fans in recent times with his performances continually slipping and it is believed that Arsene Wenger is ready to cut his losses and sell.

The Russian transfer window still has three weeks to go so a deal does not have to be concluded by tonight.
