Andre Villas-Boas was remaining confident after his Tottenham side drew 2-2 with Chelsea tonight.
Spurs' hopes of producing a top-four finish in order to qualify for the Champions League took a slight hit as they now sit a point behind fourth-placed Arsenal and three in arrears of the third-placed Blues with two fixtures remaining.
But Villas-Boas knows how erratic the Premier League can be and was holding hope that the right results would allow Tottenham to sneak into a Champions League position.
"We wanted to win obviously," he told Sky Sports 1.
"The feeling is that a point is not bad, but it is not dependent on us now. Someone will have to drop points. The task was to win here.
"Our focus will be to continue to do our job and hopefully with the teams Arsenal and Chelsea have to play, fighting for survival, something can happen.
"Anything can happen. The Premier League is completely unpredictable. Chelsea have a difficult game against (Aston) Villa at the weekend.
"We have a difficult game against Stoke as well who are also fighting.
"This fixture before the emotions of the last day can be decisive."
