Manchester United fullback Antonio Valencia has landed a new deal.
Valencia last signed an Old Trafford deal in 2014 ahead of Louis van Gaal's stint at the Reds.
The three-year agreement expires this summer but written into the contract was the 12-month option to extend either by the club or the player.
United have now decided early to keep the Ecuadorian on board for another year and have activated the clause, says the Manchester Evening News.
Last week the club also triggered Marouane Fellaini's one-year option.
