Antonio Conte was in charge of Chelsea training today.

The Mirror says negotiations are ongoing with Napoli to strike a deal over compensation for Maurizio Sarri, who has been replaced by Carlo Ancelotti.

Having failed to come to a compromise, Conte has resumed his duties as head coach with just 34 days until their opening Premier League game vs Huddersfield.

Chelsea's players are believed to be surprised at their current predicament, but due to the situation dragging on, they have returned to begin regaining match fitness.

Conte has ignored speculation and intends to continue as normal until told otherwise, with his final year worth £9m.
