Antonio Adan is delighted to be joining Atletico Madrid.

The former Real Madrid goalkeeper has joined Atletico in a €1m deal from Real Betis.

Adan said, "I wanted a great challenge. I could have chosen an easier way, play more in another team, but I have chosen to come to a giant team, with very big goals.

"I wanted to be part of a club like this and win. I was anxious to win titles.

"Since they got in touch with me I did not hesitate. When a club like Atlético calls you there is not much to doubt.

"It is clear that the challenge I have chosen is complicated, it is difficult. That's what it takes to get to Atlético, where the best in the world are."
