Mickael Antoine-Curier has signed a short-term deal with Hamilton Academical.
The 27-year old Guadeloupe international returns to New Douglas Park after a successful loan stint last season and Accies boss Billy Reid is confident he can provide some spark up forward for the club sitting at the bottom of the table.
"It could be a boost for us, but we must bear in mind Mickael has not played for a few months," Redi said.
"He had an injured knee at Dundee and it's taken him a while to recover from it.
"He has trained with us and he could go straight into the squad for the Celtic game.
"When Mickael came in last season he had a terrific impact scoring six or seven goals on the bounce. But he picked up an injury and that set him back, just as he was having an influence in the SPL. People were taking notice of him.
"He went back to Dundee and because of finances we were unable to do anything.
"Then he lost his job with the Dundee situation (club falling into administration).
"He's desperate to get back playing.
"He's had a hard time of things and that could work in our favour.
"Mickael fits into what we're trying to do with one up top.
"I think he's in the mould of Conor Sammon. If he scores the goals Sammon has I'll be happy with that. Mickael has a point to prove."
