Rubin Kazan's Argentine defender Cristian Ansaldi says he is in the dark over speculation linking him with a move to Manchester City. Reports claimed the 23-year-old was set for a £6million move to Eastlands.

"I read about it in the newspapers," he told Sport Express.

"But nobody has called me about it - not my agent, nor anyone else. And there has been no conversation about it with the Rubin's officials."

Rumours Ansaldi might be on the move have increased, particularly since Russian Premier League Champions Rubin sold fellow Argentine Alejandro Dominguez to Valencia last week.

"That's life in sport," he said. "Players always, and always will, come and go.

"I'm beginning my third season already in Kazan, and that's great," he said. "Every year I feel better and better in Russia. I'm very comfortable here."
