Security software company Trend Micro Canada Technologies has signed a deal with Fifa to become a national sponsor of the Fifa Women's World Cup this year, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. The Canadian arm of the Tokyo-based company joins Bell Canada and Labatt Breweries as a 'national supporter' of the tournament, which will take place this year across Canada from 6th June to 5th July.
"We firmly believe that this isn't just a tournament, but a celebration of the talents and abilities of world class female athletes," said Trend Micro's chief executive Eva Chen.
"Inspiring and empowering women to achieve their dreams is important to me, as well as our team as a whole."
Financial details have not been released.
