Vurnon Anita is happy to be getting a full preseason under his belt at Newcastle United.

The midfielder believes he is now fully prepared for what the Premier League has to throw at him.

He told the Evening Chronicle: "I learnt about the pace of the English game last season.

"You must be sharp at all times, because the game keeps on going for 90 minutes.

"It never stops."
