Le Havre midfielder Kevin Anin has revealed he snubbed Tottenham to stay in the French second division because he feared a loan deal would not give him time to settle in at White Hart Lane, reports the Daily Mail. The 23-year-old was offered a deal after impressing on a two-day trial but says he would rather progress in his homeland than risk making a short-term move.
"Tottenham proposed to hire me on loan," said Anin. "I was not attracted. I've never left home, so if I sign far away from Le Havre I will need time to adapt.
"England makes me dream, but I believe it is wiser to go to a Ligue 1 club before making a name for myself there."
