Anichebe wants more established Everton role

Victor Anichebe is looking to become a more established player at Everton after becoming somewhat of a 'super-sub'.

The 23-year old striker scored his fourth league goal of the season coming on as a substitute as the Toffees beat West Bromwich Albion 2-0 on the weekend and although he is happy to be contributing, he is eventually hoping to become a more relied upon entity by manager David Moyes.

"I can't rubbish the super-sub tag - I always seem to get a goal or something," Anichebe told the Daily Post.

"Whether it's coming off the bench or starting games, I'm not really bothered to be honest, but there will come a time when I'll have to start playing consecutive games all the time, not just coming in off the bench.

"I've been troubled with injuries here and there, so it does limit the time I've had on the pitch.

"But Everton are great, they've managed me well and hopefully they can get me playing a handful of games from the start."
