Victor Anichebe says Everton boss Dave Moyes needs to buy a new striker this month.

"Of course we need a striker," he declared on evertonTV. "Even though I'm a striker, of course we need to.

"If you look at it, there's only me, Lukas Jutkiewicz and Tim Cahill who can play there. Tim's a midfielder and me and Lukas are still young. I think he (David Moyes) does need to bring someone in with more experience.

"It's quite crazy what's gone on (with all the injuries) but that's life sometimes. You just have to deal with it. Even if we bring in another striker, you're always going to have competition and it will be good for everyone. I'm just looking forward to seeing who we bring in."
