Victor Anichebe says his impressive performance for Everton in Saturday's defeat of Wigan was down to the influence of strike-partner Andy Johnson.
The teenager netted the second Everton goal during the 2-1 victory and told evertonTV: "I am delighted. When the ball came to me I was scared - that was the most scared i have been for a while. I had a chance like that in training on Friday and missed it!
"It was good to see it go in but we have been working hard in pre-season on linking up like that.
"AJ did really well - he told me to hang at the back post during half-time and it came to me thanks to AJ so I was delighted."
