Anichebe determined to become a regular for West Brom

Victor Anichebe states he is making every effort to nail down a regular role at West Bromwich Albion. The 25 year old signed from Everton netted his first Baggies goal on Wednesday during a 3-2 defeat to Manchester City.

Anichebe told the Birmingham Mail: "I'm going to keep working hard and we'll see where that gets me.

"Longy has played really well. He scored some great goals against Villa and Chelsea. If someone is playing well, then sometimes you have to wait for your chance.

"I was playing well after Man United and I've had a few niggling injuries since then. That knocks you off your feet for a couple of games.

"If someone comes in and plays well, then fair play to them. I'm the first to congratulate anyone who is doing well.

"Now we're looking forward to the game against Norwich. The City game's gone and we'll bounce back on Saturday. We have to get back to where we were before and we know what we need to do to do that."
