Everton attacker Victor Anichebe is backing teammate Magaye Gueye for Olympics success with Senegal.

Anichebe - part of the silver medal-winning Nigerian team in Beijing four years ago - is tipping his Blues colleague to benefit from the spectacle.

"I'm really happy that he's chosen to play for an African nation," the striker told evertontv.

"I've always said he's Senegalese, not French!

"But seriously, it's going to be a great experience for him. I'm sort of jealous because no disrespect to Beijing, but with this one being in London, I believe it's going to be an unbelievable tournament and so viewed around the world."
