Angel Rangel backs Swansea appointment of Curtis

Swansea right-back Angel Rangel is confident that the club have taken the right decision in appointing Alan Curtis as manager until the end of the season.

Curtis will now be in charge for the remainder of the campaign with the Swans currently sitting just two points above the drop zone.

Curtis' immediate responsibility will be to steer the club away from the relegation threat and Rangel believes he has the qualities do guide the team in a positive direction.

"We trust Huw Jenkins and the board because they've always made the right decisions," said Rangel on the club's official website.

"Curt loves the club and the club loves him. He's not about himself, he's all about the club and that's a really important thing.

"He commands full respect. No matter what decision he makes, nobody can argue because he's been there since day one helping everyone.

"We all have massive respect for Curt. His contribution, along with David Adams, has helped us move in the right direction and we're delighted Curt has been given the responsibility to manage the team for the rest of the season."
