Ange's European style lured me to Brisbane Roar - Broich

Brisbane Roar midfielder Thomas Broich has revealed that coach Ange Postecoglou's European style of game was a major factor in him joining the club.

The29-year old German native, who last played with Bundesliga club FC Nuremberg before signing with the Roar, admits he was taken with how Postecoglou wanted to play and feels his choice has been vindicated thus far.

"It was the way he wanted to play football," Broich told Australian Football Weekly.

"He (Postecoglou) said Australian teams are very physical, but his emphasis was on playing a European style with good football and that I could have a key role in his system.

"He's delivering on that promise and we worked for three months in pre-season on that style of football and you can see it now on the pitch.

"Sydney and Gold Coast are very good teams but we were pretty dominant [against them]."

The Roar have produced two wins and a draw from their opening three matches and currently sit third on the A-League table with a game in hand on top two Perth Glory and Adelaide United.
