Nicolas Anelka is happy to be experiencing his first preseason as a Chelsea player.

"It is important for me because I tried to settle down with the group because I came in the middle of the season and it was difficult for me to be part of the group," he told Chelsea's website.

"To be here today is good for me and good for my game because I settle down well with the players and it is easier. I think it will be easier on the pitch also.

"It is always good to have a good start but it was not a strong team we played tonight, but a game is a game and it is always good to play well and win."
