QPR are set to land former Chelsea and Liverpool striker Nicolas Anelka.

Anelka is in advanced negotiations with Shanghai Shenhua about a release from his contract so he can return to Europe next month.

The Frenchman has been linked with West Ham United and Tottenham, however, Foot Mercato says Anelka has agreed to join Harry Redknapp at QPR.

The deal could be closed before Christmas.
