Nicolas Anelka says it's the size of Stamford Bridge's pitch that is threatening Chelsea's title hopes this season.

Discussing Chelsea's poor home form, Anelka told the club's website: "The pitch is small. I think this is why it is difficult for us, the pitch helps other teams because if you stay in the back it is easier for the away team. This is like Highbury was.

"But Liverpool struggle at home also this year, I don't know why, they have got a good team, maybe because Torres is injured but they have everything to play well at home."
