Andy Gray: Why Man Utd kids like Pogba are out of order demanding huge pay-hikes

Sharethematch.com ambassador Andy Gray was talking to Ben Baker, exclusively for tribalfootball.com.

I DON'T know Ravel Morrison personally but I have read enough about him to know that he needs to sort himself out and it is no surprise that Sir Alex Ferguson has said what he has said about the youngster.

I think Sir Alex Ferguson was right when he said that he is better off out of Manchester but the difficulty is you can take the boy out of Manchester but can you take Manchester out of the boy?

That will be his biggest problem but he has a good manager with him in Sam Allardyce and I think it is no surprise that he has ended up at West Ham.

Sir Alex and Sam are best mates and they have known each other for a long time so Sir Alex would have put him in a club where he knows he will get discipline and Big Sam will definitely give him that.

But ultimately it is up to the kid now and we will wait and see what Ravel decides to do.

From what I have heard he has immense talent for a young lad and if he wants to be a player then he will be a player and a good one at that.

But if he lets outside forces affect him then he might not be, but he won't be the first talented youngster to fall by the wayside.

But Big Sam will be in his ear and telling him to knuckle down because if he wants to have a great career then he can have one because he has the skills.

But he can't have a great career and continue to be doing what he is doing as they just don't go hand in hand.

I hope he can get his act together as there are too few youngsters with the talent that Ravel has but I think West Ham will help him develop as a player and as a man.

But Fergie isn't stupid and he has included a clause in the contract that says if he is good enough then Manchester United have first option to buy him back so we will wait and see what happens.

It amazes me what the young players like Morrison and Paul Pogba of today are after and what they are demanding and I just wonder what the older heads of Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes think of it all.

Even the likes of Danny Welbeck who I think has been great this year has been at it.

If these guys are Manchester United are going to come to anything then they will never have to worry about money again for as long as they live.

So going in and upsetting the applecart and demanding this and demanding that when you are 20 or 21 years of age and when you are at Manchester United doesn't make sense to me.

I think agents giving these young kids that kind of advice need a good slap around the head because a young player at that age should be concentrating on one thing only and that is his career.

There is plenty of time if these guys are any good, to continue improving in the ways that Manchester United want them to, to sit down and do any kind of deal they want.

But get your career together first, improve your game, improve your skill, improve your attitude, improve everything before you do something like this.

And then when you are in your mid-20s, when you are an established player and not just threatening to be, and then you do your deals and get your money.
