Andy Delort is ready to quit Championship crisis club Wigan Athletic for a return to France.

Delort joined the Latics in a blaze of publicity over the summer after hitting 24 goals for Ligue 2Tours last season.

But the move has not worked out for Delort, who admits he is pining for a return home.

"If it's a Ligue 1 club, yes. I played a hundred games in L1 and L2, coaches know me and know that I am a player who never gives up," Delort declared.

Montpellier and Lens are monitoring the situation.
