Keith Andrews admits he had concerns when Sam Allardyce was appointed manager at Blackburn Rovers.
Now on the verge of his first full star with the Republic of Ireland, Andrews said: "Just playing week in week out gives you confidence. But when a new manager comes in, there's always that doubt about whether he is going to like you because the previous manager did sign me.
"But I have been managing to keep some very good players out of the team, and that gives you confidence as well.
"Since the last time we met up, I have started every Premier League game.
"There have been a few ups and downs at the club in terms of management - but with the new manager coming in, I have managed to keep my place and do reasonably well."
