Keith Andrews is set to depart Blackburn Rovers as a free agent by the end of the week.
The Ewood Park outfit are prepared to pay out the remainder of his four-year deal so he can pursue first team football elsewhere.
31-year old Republic of Ireland midfielder Andrews recently had a successful loan spell at Ipswich Town and could head back there to sign permanently although Wigan Athletic and Leeds United are also believed to be showing interest.
A source close to the club told Goal.com confirmed that Andrews and manager Steve Kean don't see eye-to-eye making a contract termination very likely.
"He was very critical of Kean when he was Ipswich because he had been dropped because he was getting booed by Rovers fans for playing him.
"There is no love lost between them. Now they are hoping to come to some sort of agreement so he can walk away as a free agent.""He came back from a loan spell at Ipswich and he has been in talks ever since with the board," the source said.
