Andres Iniesta won't rule out Barcelona exit despite new deal

Andres Iniesta concedes his future was in serious doubt at Barcelona.

The captain signed a new contract last week, which assures him of a role with the club after retirement.

Iniesta admitted to RAC1: "Despite the fact that I have been here all my life and I have said a hundred thousand times that I want to have a sporting life in Barca and I never thought that we would not reach that point, there were moments of doubt, circumstances that are not public and that are only known in the near environment and moments in which the things that affected me were decided by me.

"There was always the idea that I would have to decide and at some point things were not going in the same direction."

The midfielder also stated he could yet move on if he feels he isn't contributing.

"I will see how I am inwardly and see what is best for all. I'll put it on a scale and I'll assess the situations."
