Aurelio Andreazzoli has admitted some regrets over his time in charge of AS Roma.
Andreazzoli was promoted following the dismissal of Zdenek Zeman.
"I was called to perform a job: to lift up a team that was in real difficulty," he told Tuttomercatoweb.
"We managed to do that and during my time in charge we had an impressive average points tally. We did what we had to do, but there are also regrets that we didn't take the most important opportunities of the season.
"We wanted to win the Coppa Italia Final and therefore qualify for Europe. We played that game below our capabilities, as did Lazio, and in such a tense encounter one incident tends to be decisive.
"We were left with regrets that day and they will remain for a while yet."
