Former Olympique Marseille attacker Andre Ayew admits Swansea City boss Garry Monk convinced him about moving to the Liberty.
The 25-year-old signed a four-year deal at the Liberty Stadium after his deal with Marseille expired, despite interest from clubs such as Liverpool, Tottenham and Roma.
"The most important person was the coach, Garry Monk," said Ayew. "When I spoke to him, and also to the chairman, they gave me the feeling that I needed that I was ready to join.
"I felt the confidence from everybody and now it is up to me to do the job. Swansea have a great style of play. They are a team that goes forward and scores goals. They are also good tactically. There is a great team spirit in the squad, so for me, this was a great place to come and try my first season in the Premier League."
