Andorra defender Sonejee slams England's celebrity stars

Andorra centre-back Oscar Sonejee has slammed England's celebrity players ahead of Wednesday's World Cup qualifier.

Straight-talking Sonejee, 33, born in Andorra to Indian parents, is an insurance broker whose club is FC Andorra. He is the country's most respected and most-capped player.

Andorra's players train only twice a week as they have regular jobs including policeman, civil servant, gardener and postman.

Sonejee said: "I don't know why the England players do what they do when not playing football. But if that is what they choose to do in their lives, it is up to them.

"This is the life of a footballer player when you get paid a lot of money. Your life is different.

"The players of Andorra don't know this life. We are workmen and everybody has their jobs and now has the chance to play against England at Wembley, which is a dream for us.

"For us, it's perfect because if England think about other things it means they don't respect Andorra. It means they will have a difficult match against us at Wembley.

"We want to do better than we did in September in Barcelona. It's possible England didn't have confidence to start fast to score one or two goals quickly in that match, to make it easier for them.

"Now this match is a very big event for us. Going to play at Wembley against England is a very fantastic chance and we will try to do well."
