Anders Lindegaard delighted after impressive 45 for Manchester United

Manchester United goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard was delighted with his cleansheet in their 7-0 thrashing of Seattle Sounders.

Lindegaard made two quality saves in the first-half as the teams went into the break with United 1-0 up.

The Dane reflected: "They like to play football, not like kick and rush which I would have expected when I came to the States. It was alright that we won the game but seven-nil is too much.

"It was very noisy. It was difficult to communicate. It seemed to be a great crowd. It must be fantastic for the team here to get that kind of support...that is very impressive.

"Playing for Manchester United. It's a normal part of your day to perform in front of so many people. If you can't perform in front of a big audience, you're not going to play for Manchester United."

On his two saves, Lindegaard added: "It's going very quickly so you're just reacting. It's in your backbone what to do. It's not like a process that you go through, you just react."
