Manchester City have failed with a move for Anderlecht junior Carmelo Antonucci.

The 12 year-old prodigy has attracted an approach from City this month, but his father says he'll stay with Anderlecht.

"My son is too young to leave now," Antonucci Snr said.

"We want our son to do his studies for as long as possible in Belgium. At Anderlecht players get an excellent education."
