Anderlecht midfielder Denis Praet has played down talk of moving to Manchester City.

The 19 year-old Belgium international has been linked with City this month.

"I think for my development it would be best if I switch to a middle-class club in a bigger league," said Praet.

"Should I go to a club in Manchester, I would not have good prospects."

Praet added with a smile: "But at Borussia Dortmund it is on a run so bad that they could be described as an average team."
