Anderlecht have confirmed Premier League interest in Kara Mbodji last month.

Crystal Palace and Leicester City were both linked with moves for defender Mbodji in January.

Anderlecht official David Steegen has told the club's newsletter that while there was interest from two Premier League clubs.

"Two clubs from the Premier League showed serious interest in the services of Kara Mbodji," he said.

"The staggering amounts could not tempt us. On the contrary, Anderlecht invested in a new contract, making sure our mainstay remains associated with the club for longer."
