Anderlecht coach John van den Brom is confident keeping hold of defender Cheikhou Kouyate.

Fulham boss Martin Jol is interested in Kouyate before the transfer market shuts next week.

"If Kouyate leaves, there will be another central defender to take his place. But I do not think Cheikhou will leave," said Van den Brom.

"The player does not determine whether we do or do not talk to an interested club."
