Anderlecht have denied reports of accepting a bid from Newcastle United for Aleksandar Mitrovic.

It broke yesterday that Newcastle had seen an offer of €20.4 million accepted by Anderlecht for the Serbia centre-forward.

But this morning, Anderlecht chief Herman Van Holsbeeck insisted: "The report is all wrong."

Mitrovic's agent, Nenad Jestrovic, also insisted last night that the claims were wide of the mark.

The young forward is also being linked with Arsenal, Chelsea and Juventus.
