Ancelotti wanted Arsenal, Tottenham job before taking PSG role

Carlo Ancelotti has revealed he wanted to wait until the summer in a bid to land either the Arsenal or Tottenham jobs.

The former Chelsea manager was recently installed as the new boss of French giants Paris Saint-Germain but admits he was interested in the Gunners or Spurs positions if Arsene Wenger or Harry Redknapp decided to move on.

"Before PSG's call I thought of a year-long sabbatical, hoping that in the summer a job like Tottenham or Arsenal - a top London bench - would become available, but I was tired of not working," Ancelotti told Gazzetta dello Sport.
