Carlo Ancelotti has dubbed Raphael Varane the "future of Real Madrid".

The France defender is yet to feature this season due to injury.

"He has a great talent. We are very lucky to have him in our team because he is the future of Real Madrid," said Ancelotti.

He also praised Daniel Carvajal: "He is a very good player, who has started the season very well: confidently, and with a good mental and physical attitude. Match by match he is improving and as a reserve player he is very eager and is also under more pressure than the others. I am pleased with him."
