Ancelotti pleased with Real Madrid fight-back at Osasuna

Real Madrid fought back from 2-0 down to earn a 2-2 draw at Osasuna yesterday.

Oriol Riera struck twice for the hosts in the first half and an Osasuna win looked all the more certain when Sergio Ramos was sent off for two bookable offences.

However, Isco gave Madrid hope by scoring just moments before half-time and a headed goal by Pepe completed the comeback on 80 minutes, by which time Osasuna had also been reduced to 10 men, with Francisco Silva dismissed for picking up two yellow cards.

Real coach Carlo Ancelotti said: "I think that the first 20 minutes were very good. It's incredible to think about seeing a game like that. Once it was 2-0 and we were down to ten men, that was incredible. The team's reaction was very good. I want to thank them for getting the draw and nearly winning at the end. We suffered a lot. In the end, I think that the team showed great character and attitude to not lose this match."
