Carlo Ancelotti believes Chelsea will remain with Jose Mourinho as manager for the foreseeable future.
Despite a horror start to the Blues' Premier League title defence, former boss Ancelotti is not expecting owner Roman Abramovich to get rid of Mourinho anytime soon.
Ancelotti was quizzed by Italian media whether or not he seems himself returning to Stamford Bridge if the Portuguese happened to be sacked but was non-committal in his response.
Ancelotti said: "Mourinho will continue to do his job. I don't think Chelsea want a change.
"In any case my idea continues to be to remain away from work for a year."
56-year-old Ancelotti was sacked by Real Madrid last summer after failing to deliver a trophy to the Santiago Bernabeu during the 2014/15 season. He led Chelsea to the 2010 Premier League and FA Cup double during his rein in West London.
