Ancelotti no complaints over Man City defeat

Chelsea lost their first match of the Premier League season 1-0 at Manchester City, and Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti admitted City deserved the victory. He said: "We didn't play how we wanted. We suffered from the pressure in midfield Man City put on us. We didn't have the possibility to show our quality.

"Man City had a very good performance. In midfield they used a lot of power. Man City deserved to win. Man City have a lot of quality to fight for the title."

Ancelotti replaced Didier Drogba with Daniel Sturridge in the 75th minute and revealed the Ivorian was not injured.

"It was a tactical decision," he said. "I wanted to use the speed of Sturridge on the right side."

Drogba looked bemused to be taken off with his side chasing the game, but asked if he reacted well to the decision Ancelotti said: "I think so."
