Ancelotti: Montella was with Chelsea before taking Roma job

Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti says Vincenzo Montella will do a good job for AS Roma.

Montella has taken over the coaching reigns at Roma after the resignation of Claudio Ranieri. For many in the capital, he is keeping the seat warm for Ancelotti.

The Blues manager told Il Romanista: "One day I will realize my dream of coaching Roma.

"I am at Chelsea, where I am fine and I hope to stay long and do well ... Then, there is a mystery and I wrote in my book, I believe that sooner or later, one day, I will coach Roma.

"But supporters should now give Vincenzo a hand. He's the coach of Roma, and they must all be on his side.

"A month ago Vincenzo Montella was in London to watch the Chelsea football team. I think he is smart and prepared. I root for him."
