Carlo Ancelotti took charge of his first training session as Real Madrid coach yesterday. After medical examinations, Ancelotti held a training stint with his players amid plenty of laughter and good humour.

Before leaving the pitch, Ancelotti made a short address to the squad, saying: "Let's all work together to try to achieve the objectives of the club. I trust your talent and professionalism."

The general impression among players is that "he seems a very good person".

Interestingly, among Ancelotti's backroom team on the training pitch were Zinedine Zidane, Paul Clement and ... Davide Ancelotti, the son of the Real boss.
