Former AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti supports the promotion of Gianluigi Donnarumma.

The 16 year-old has been selected by Sinisa Mihajlovic ahead of Diego Lopez.

Ancelotti said, “Mihajlovic has shown good sense to entrust the goalkeeper position to Donnarumma: like Buffon, he's started very young, if someone is good you can't stop them from looking at their ID card.

“However Diego Lopez is strong, sooner or later he will take back his place in the team. I heard about his tendon condition, he suffered from it during his time at Real Madrid too."
