Ancelotti delighted as Chelsea remove anti-Premier League clause from payout

Sacked Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti can jump into a new Premier League job - immediately.

The London Evening Standard says Ancelotti is free to work for another Premier League club next season after Chelsea agreed to remove a clause in his contract.

Ancelotti still had 12 months left on his £6million-a-year deal when he was sacked by Chelsea following the 1-0 defeat in their final game at Everton on Sunday.

He has already met with the club to agree a settlement, which includes getting the provision preventing him from working here removed.

The news is still a boost for Ancelotti because it is understood he had already priced himself out of going back to former club AS Roma, where he spent eight years of his playing career, by his salary demands and the type of players he wanted them to buy.
