Manchester United's teenage goalkeeper Ben Amos was delighted with his debut in this week's Carling Cup victory over Middlesbrough.
Amos, who has been with United since he was 11, told the Manchester Evening News: "There is going to be something wrong with me if I wasn't a little bit nervous.
"Nerves are a good thing as long as you can control them. I didn't have a lot to do.
"I would have liked a little bit more action. I just have to hope that that is the first of many.
"Our side was pretty strong so it meant I didn't have a lot to do. It meant a lot of concentrating and organising. I have played with the players before in pre-season at Aberdeen so I had quite a good understanding with them already.
"It is great to have a little reward for all the hard work you put in every day in training.
"I just need to keep on going and keep focused and try to develop further."
