Torino striker Nicola Amoruso has backed the club's pursuit of Manchester City striker Rolando Bianchi.

"Rolando is a good player and he doesn't need anyone to speak up for him," Amoruso insisted. "If the club brings in another player it will be in our interests, but if nobody arrives we will all play at our best so that it doesn't matter.

"I'm a player and it isn't my job to discuss the market. The club has very well defined roles and it is only right to respect them."
