English boxing champ Amir Khan has delivered a stunning blow to the players of his beloved Bolton Wanderers.
Khan - who regularly attends home games at the Reebok - reckons a trip to his new Gloves Gym in the town could have the team punching its weight again.
The Olympic lightweight silver medallist, 21, said: "I don't know if the players are training hard or not but they are doing something wrong because you can see the fitness isn't there."
He told The Sun: "I've got my own boxing club now and I've always said if Bolton want to come down for extra training sessions or something different they are welcome.
"Nowadays you get a lot of different sports taking up boxing to get fit and I'm willing to give them that chance.
"Come to my boxing club and go through some circuits and stuff and get stronger."
Bolton have backed Khan in the past and given the local hero help with physiotherapy.
He added: "It's a shame what's happening to Bolton. They are not getting the results but I believe we just need a bit of luck on our side.
"In my sport I'm the only one who knows what I'm going to be like. I'm the only guy in the ring so I can only blame myself - but the football team can blame each other."
