Marc Pelosi is over the moon about the chance he has been given by Premier League giants Liverpool.
The 17-year old Californian has been added to the Reds' youth development academy and although he is aware it is a massive opportunity, he has gone to England with an open mind and is looking to enjoy his time on Merseyside.
"I just wanted to try something new and take the risk. I don't feel the pressure. I just try to have fun.""I used to wish I could just wake up and go play soccer and now that is what I do," Pelosi told the Mercury News.
San Jose Earthquakes head coach Frank Yallop, who has seen Pelosi firsthand, says he would have loved to have taken the versatile midfielder but understands that heading to Liverpool is a brilliant opportunity.
"It's special for any player to get picked up by Liverpool," said Yallop. "We would take Marc tomorrow if he becomes available."
