American defender Frank Simek feels Carlisle's weekend win at League One leaders Tranmere was their best display of the season. "It was probably our best performance and result of the season so far," the 28 year old told the club's official website. "It wasn't pretty at times but we did what we had to do. I think you could tell straight away that we were all on our game and that started with the two centre halves.
"They didn't give their players an inch of space and we all won our tackles and headers. We went on from there and I think we deserved the victory."
