American consortium throws in bid for Dundee

A consortium from Texas has reportedly lodged an offer to take control of Dundee FC.

The Dees are back in Scotland's First Division after they were relegated from the top flight and are on the verge of having 51% taken over by the American group who will be joined by current directors Bill Colvin and Steve Martin.

In addition, the Texas-based Keyes Capital investment firm, with current Dundee chief executive Scot Gardiner in tow, will look to buy back ownership of the Dens Park ground from local businessman John Bennett who stepped in when the club was in need back in 2009.
